Second stage and second half of life.

Life changes more for a woman then her man , post marriage.

After 5 years of dating Sandy (hubby) our relation had witnessed best times as well as worst times. We managed to stick together through all the ups and downs.

So when THE day of our wedding was approaching, pressure started building up.Though Brahmins, we two have been brought up in absolutely two different environments.

Where Sandy hails from karnataka I come from Maharashtra, then there are traditional differences not as much as you must have read in Chetan Bhagat's "Two States" but to some extend yes.

When marital customs demanded that both families stayed on the same page; it was getting way to beyond our control and the expectations started growing.

There were times when I gave up and Sandy would boost me and say its just a bend, we will make it through this tough time with the blessings of our parents and near and dear ones.

The marriage went on smoothly, and I was very warmly welcomed at my "new home"

The customs which I thought were hard to learn, not my types I have owned them very proudly.

One year after our marriage, where ever there is a family get together all the relatives gather and they are no longer strangers they are my own people, without whom, any person would be incomplete.

I really think the decision of marriage and its effects are hard on both bride and groom .

"Marriages change the entire life of a girl and a bit of a boys life."

Me thinks,Women go not only through pre marital JITTERS but through a post marital PLUNGE.

In any case if you have a loving, caring, compassionate hubby like mine :)

The entire journey is awesome!!!
